PTO Buddy is a simple and effective way to keep your PTO yolk clean
and lubricated during long term and short term storage.

The last thing you need when hooking up is to spend any more time coercing
yet another union between tractor and trailer; so we did something about it.
We made the PTO Buddy.

So how does it work?
Once unhooked take your selected size (540 or 1000 speed) PTO Buddy and
insert into the PTO yolk, you will need to thumb the locking pin/s as normal to
get her in but once in you will instantly recognize two things 1) it isn’t coming
out unless you want it to and 2) no contamination, grit or other crap is getting
in.

Grease her up?
This next step is optional but recommended and that is to take full advantage
of the grease ports dotted along your Buddy’s shaft by hooking up your
preferred grease gun to the nipple at the rear of your buddy you can apply an
even layer of grease over and into the nooks and crannies of the PTO splines.

We took extra care to make sure it applies an evenly loaded layer of grease not only down each of the splines but also onto your locking pin/s,

Now that your splines are greased up and kept free of muck dust and anything
else that might ruin your day you can rest assured knowing that next time you
come to hook up you can skip the foreplay and your PTO will slide right in.
Now I know what you’re thinking. Gee that all looks rather neat but when I pull
it out it’s going to be covered in grease that’s just going to get everywhere I
put the damn thing down.

Well we made something for that too the PTO buddy storage port

Place either your 540 or 1000 speed PTO buddy into the storage port with a
satisfying secure click. Then attach the whole unit to the back of anything
ferrous with the powerful rear mounted rubberised magnet designed to
withstand a good amount of shake that might otherwise let it slide off. There is
even a drainage hole at the bottom should you ever need to clean it out.
